invoiceNow is a desktop invoicing application built for the way Australian sole traders actually work: raise a tax invoice, keep the contact and job against it, export a PDF, and have your GST and BAS figures ready when the quarter closes. It runs on Windows and Linux.

Use it when

You invoice clients yourself and want something simpler than an accounting suite — without a monthly subscription, and without your books living on someone else's server.

  • Australian tax invoices with ABN and GST handled properly
  • Contacts and job records kept alongside each invoice
  • PDF export, and email straight from the app
  • GST and BAS figures prepared per financial-year quarter
  • No subscription, no account, and no cloud service to sign up for

Email and Gmail

You can send an invoice PDF in one of three ways, chosen in Settings: your desktop mail program, your own Gmail account via Google OAuth, or your own Outlook account via Microsoft OAuth.

When you connect Gmail, invoiceNow requests only the Google permissions it needs to identify your account and to send messages you have composed and explicitly approved. OAuth tokens stay on your device. Email is never sent automatically — only after you confirm a preview in the app. Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Full details are in the privacy policy.

Your data stays on your machine

There is no invoiceNow backend server. Every invoice, contact and job record lives in a local SQLite database on your own computer, and nothing is uploaded on the application's own initiative. Backups, and where you keep them, are yours to control.
